We believe the Scriptures as originally given and that they are perfectly and uniquely authoritative in all matters with which they deal, including scientific and historical as well as moral and theological (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13).
“Question everything taught today”
We claim to be “Honest Seekers of Truth.” As a result, we want to have dialogue about what we believe and what happens during our worship service. We know from experience that we are capable of being wrong and not knowing it. So, we are not afraid to seek truth since we are not bound to any human traditions. We also accept that our sincerity cannot determine truth. We believe Jesus when he said, “If you continue in My Word, then you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:31-32)
God
We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as ONE God existing in THREE persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but inseparable. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of all people, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, both fully God and fully man. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14)
Christ’s Death & Resurrection
We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day and personally appeared to His disciples and to many. (1 Corinthians 15:14; Romans 4:25)
Salvation by Grace through Faith
We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11)
Water baptism
We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in order to fulfill the command of Christ as modeled by the First Century Christians (Matthew 28;19; Acts 2:37-39; 19:1-6)
The Church
We believe that the local gathering of believers, known as the church, is Christ’s body meant to impact the world with the message of Jesus. We are an autonomous congregation, not governed by any other organization. Its primary function is to share life together, which includes encouraging one another, helping each other grow in Spirit and Truth, serving our community and worshipping regularly. (Acts 2:42-47)
